Hello

I have never been in Wyoming .,the landscape is very unique. We saw lots of antelopes in pastures, but I don't know what they were eating. The land is very dry looking.
We topped the hill and saw these beautiful snow capped mountains

We stopped for the night at Lake Desmet at Potts Landing. Electric only, just off I90, $15. On a beautiful lake!

Keystone

Today was very, very windy. You really have to pay attention to the weather reports when towing in this area; glad we didn't try it today.   We decided to tour the town of Keystone. It is just a mile or so from Mount Rushmore. It is a quaint little gold mining town.

This guy was blocking the road on our way to Keystone. You really have to be alert for wildlife in the area.

We toured a beautiful old school

I remember these wall maps from my grade school days

You can see Mount Rushmore

Just kidding. You really can see Mount Rushmore from the road to Keystone

It is really cold here. If it weren't for the constant reminder of God's handiwork; I would really wonder what in the world I am doing in this cold place!  I miss my flip flops!!

Crazy Horse and Presidents

Crazy Horse was a shock. I thought it would just be a ride up to an unfinished monument, but it has several museums with it that are really, really good. We spent the whole morning there and could have stayed longer. They also have a nice restaurant

It will look like this when finished

The sculptor

And his wife

They had 10 kids

The nature gate. I just had to get a pic of the flamingo!

Next we went on the nature drive through Custer State Park. Here are the results

We also saw a lot of prairie dogs. They are everywhere

There are several very narrow tunnels on the drive

It was a fun drive.

We finally made it to our last stop:  Mount  Rushmore

The Badlands are Awesome

It is just too unique and beautiful to try to describe. We saw thousands of prarie dogs, bison, big horn sheep.  They are all free roaming in the park.  We drove about 100 miles thru the park and it took 9 hrs. There are so many beautiful places to pull over to enjoy the scenery.

We ate a picnic lunch at Sage cg. And there was sage growing everywhere

I have about a thousand more pics that i took with the good camera. It was just too beautiful; these pics don't do it justice!
