We left home today at about 11:30 am. Traveling south on I-75 was easy traveling today. I guess most people will wait until tomorrow to go home from the holidays. The trip went by faster because we were listening to the UK/UL basketball game which was a barn burner.
We stopped at the Strawberry plains exit for fuel and a break and then traveled thru the tunnels of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park to our stop for the first night at a campground that we have stayed at several times..Pride Rv in Waynesville, NC This campground is $20 a night in winter, full hookup, 1 mile from I-40 and has free wifi and pull thru sites. We like the pull thru sites because we don't have to unhook for just an over night stay.
A creek runs thru this campground and it is pretty high right now because of the large amount of rainfall.
