Amazing Arches National Park

Arches is such a unique place.  We absolutely loved it.  After we watched the video at the visitor center we headed out.  You drive about 20 miles thru the park and stop and see as much as you want to see. It was 97 degrees, but we hiked as much as we felt was safe.

The first area of the park was called Park Avenue.

This area is called the courthouse area.  You can hike from Park Avenue to the Courthouse area.

This formation was called the courthouse gossips!

Balance Rock.  All of these formations were amazing.

This was the south arch!  They offered a spectacular view!

There I am in the north arch!

A man named Joe Wilson actually moved his family out into the middle of Arches Park.  I can't imagine why; but here is their house.

This is Delicate Arch

This area was called the fiery furnace.   It glowed at sunset like it was on fire.  You have a 3 hour hike to get here.

This is the entrance to my favorite area in Arches.  This is the Sand Arches area.

It was sort of a tight squeeze, but well worth going into.

The actual Sand Arch.  They were having some issues with falling rocks in this area.  So, we took this pic really fast!

Arches is awesome!
