Carmacks and back to Whitehorse

Yesterday we made it to Carmacks, Yukon. There are just a few places to stop on the Klondike Loop Road if you want hookups. Since we had been about 5 days without hookups I was more than ready for full hookups. Carmack motel and rv park was a nice little park on the Yukon River. We did laundry and gave the inside of the camper a clean up. You can't imagine how dusty everything is here.

Can you see our camper?

We had a beautiful day to drive to Whitehorse today. We drove by beautiful Fox Lake and just had to stop and walk thru the Yukon Government campground. This campground is on a beautiful crystal clear lake and only 1 camper and there was 43 sites.

Notice the snow caps

This is what is left of Montague road house. The road houses were vital for any travel in this area.

We are at Pioneer RV park in Whitehorse. It is another gravel parking lot but it has full hookups and even tv so I am happy. We went to the Log Church museum.

It is an Anglican church and we learned a lot about the role of the Anglican church in the Yukon. We enjoyed the tour.

Sweet dreams from Whitehorse, Yukon!
