Hello Denali! I am happy to see you!

So glad to be out of Fairbanks and back in the mountains. The mountains here are beautiful.   We are staying at the Riley campground in the park. No hookups for 4 days!  Time will tell on that one!

We have already see these big guys in the park

Tomorrow we are taking the shuttle into Denali to get closer to the mountain. Private vehicles are just allowed so far into the park, then you have go take a shuttle. We are going to ride for 4 hrs into the park and then hike some of the trails that are at the Eielson center. I am ready for the bears!

The shuttle ride costs $34 per person and you can get off and hike some and catch the next shuttle. It will take 4 hours for us to get back to the campground. You have to pack in all of the food and water that you need for the whole day. No concession stands!  Sweet dreams from Riley Campground!
